The Law Office of Alexandra Mora is located at 322 Lafayette Street, in a historic building in the heart of downtown New Orleans.

 
 

Summary of Practice Areas

Estabalished in 2000, our firm handles a variety of civil and criminal matters, providing personal attention to best meet our clients' needs.  We handle trials and appeals in both state and federal courts. 

Civil Rights

We litigate a variety of Civil Rights cases, including Employment Discrimination (Title VII), Housing Discrimination, Disability Discrimination, Age Discrimination, Police Misconduct,  Family and Medical Leave Act cases, Free Speech cases and other Constitutional claims.

Personal Injury

We help accident victims and their families recover everything they are owed.  We handle Hurricane Damage and other Insurance Claims, Car Accident cases, Slip and Falls, Offshore Accidents, Wrongful Death cases, and Products Liability.

Other Practice Areas

We also work on Commercial Litigation, Admiralty and Maritime, DWI, and Drug Cases. We assist businesses with formation documents, transactions, contracts, and compliance issues.

About Alexandra Mora

Alexandra Mora is licensed to practice in Louisiana, New York, and the United States Supreme Court. She is a published author and experienced litigator, who has tried cases in state and federal court, and argued numerous appeals.  In law school, Ms. Mora won awards for her abilities in arguing cases (Tulane Moot Court).  She was also a senior editor for the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.  After law school, Ms. Mora became staff attorney for a national nonprofit organization, handling cases in numerous states, including New York, Michigan, Illinois, and Louisiana.  While working for nonprofits, she sued various states to enforce the voting rights of their citizens. Since starting her own firm, Ms. Mora remains committed to doing her part for the community.  She is a board member of the New Orleans Film Festival, and supports the New Orleans Opera, as well as other community organizations.

Alexandra Mora grew up in New York, but fell in love with New Orleans and has made it her home. She lives with her husband and daughter in uptown New Orleans.  

Office Information

Our office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays, and weekend or evening hours by appointment.

Your initial telephone consultation is free.  Otherwise, we handle cases on either a contingency or hourly basis, depending on the type of case.

We accept major credit cards.
